II – After Enabling Snapshot, Threshold Error Appears And Its Gray & Not Editible?

Problem;

I just upgraded to QTS 4.2.1 (19.4.2016) and since then I have following error message:

[Pool 1] Storage pool is full. Low storage space may affect the performance of accessing files, please expand the capacity of the storage pool as soon as possible.

It looks like they changed something with the threshold parameter. Of course the storage pool is full, as you want to leverage the whole disk. But the volumes are all very low utilized. It looks like they are now using the sam threshold parameter for volumes and pools, which doesn’t really make sense.

As a work around (as I’m getting those messages all the time) I wanted to disable the threshold and through the GUI it is not possible to disable the threshold (it is greyed out) – I can only change the value from 1 to 100. Is there a way through the CLI to disable this threshold?

.

How to Solve;

Try to reduce snapshot from 20% to 10%, and you will get free space. After that increase the alert from threshold from 80 % to 95%,

.

How To Do;

1 – To Fix This Error;

Qnap threshod gray error

2 –  Go to storage manager -> Actions -> Set Snapshot Reserved;

Qnap threshold gray (2)

3 – Set Thi From %20 to 15;

Qnap threshold gray (3) Qnap threshold gray (4)

4 – After that, you’ll have free space, but error should still appears;

Qnap threshold gray (5)

5- So, go to Actions -> set Threshold (For Storage Pool!)

Qnap threshold gray (6)

Qnap threshold gray (7)

6 – Change this number to %95

Qnap threshold gray (8)

7 – Now error message should be disapear;

Qnap threshold gray (1)
