I – Container Station Only Shows My Nas And The Refresh İcon, But No Folders At All… How To Fix

Problem;

I’ve just updated the firmware of a TS-251+ to 4.2.2

When installing and opening Container Station, I’m presented with a screen to select where to store the default images. Its listing my NAS, but doesn’t show up any of the folders to choose. There is a refresh button that I can click, but even doing so just still lists the main NAS and no folders.

I can create a new folder, but then this still doesn’t show up.

.

Solution;

Its a known bug and will be fixed soon. For now, you cna fix this issue with;

1 – this is caused by system port is not 8080. Just change it back to 8080

or

2 – You can fix it by fullscreen the browser

or

3 - Try to log out from the qnap. When on the login screen on the bottom you can select to log in directly to the container station and from there you can find the folder.

or

4 – Install Container Station from the APP Center. Still in App center right click on the blue arrow pointing down (under the app icon) and you will see an option which says ‘Display on’

Move your mouse over this and then click on the option ‘Every users main menu and as an App shortcut on the login screen’

Now log out of the NAS and you should see a small icon for Container Station in the bottom left. Click on this and it will take you to the main login page for Container Station. Login and hopefully you should see all the folders which will allow you to proceed with the set-up.

Here is what I would suggest, and it maybe somewhat painful depending on your config.

1) Uninstall Container Station, Linux Station, and Virtual Station.
2) Disable HD_Station (for now)
3) If you are using Port Trunking, remove it and only cable/configure NIC1.
4) Delete any/all vSwitches under NW/vSwitch console
5) Reboot
6) verify under ssh, that you only see the normal ETH# when running ifconfig, and not Bond*, Br1, etc.
7) reinstall CS, and then try launching CS
