How do I selectively manage whether services start or stop? Currently you are referencing only one master script but when I fire it up, I run out of memory and my QTS 4.3.3 box crashes. I'd like to be able to selectively start services manually so I don't crash my box when it tries to launch every application/service I have installed on the box. Specifically container station crashes my box as soon as it starts up. I'd like to set it to manual instead of automatic startup.

I have QNAP TS-259 ( not pro or pro+ ). I can't see this model from QNAP support site. Instead, I only see TS-259pro / TS-259pro+.

I want to setup my TS-259 for TimeMachine, is there a way to do that? I don't see the "TimeMachine" option listed when I logged into my NAS.

thanks

I have the QNAP TS-410, RAID5 (4 Samsung discs 1 TB each), ±60% used.
It has the latest firmware, it worked ok via http:// and it was visible through Finder, under external devices until I had to reformat my MacBookPro (corrupt OSX).

I did re-install the MBPro OSX (latest Sierra) en recovered my hard-disk content from my external back-up disc (not my QNAP) with Time Machine. The MBPro works fine again.
However, since then I don't see my QNAP anymore, not in Finder, not through http://, and not with QFinder Pro.

The QNAP is LAN connected, the same LAN as my MBPro.

QNAP LED's status are: (as indicated above)
My Status LED flashes red-green every 0.5 seconds.
My LAN status indicates activity as it flashes intermittently.
USB and eSATA leds are off.
I see 4 green lights above my discs.

I've tried to reboot the QNAP through power-off, power-on, no result.
I've reset my QNAP with the little button on the back, no result.
The LED lights come back with the same status as indicated above.

What to try/do next?
I appreciate your advice!
Thanks, Rens
btw I've left the QNAP in this status for 5+ days, assuming rebuild of discs.

Sounds simple, but it didn't work. Do you have any details on dealing with Port Forwarding? I suspect there are details regarding Ports, Router Port Settings and DNS that everyone is glossing over. I believe this is my problem.

thanks,
